If you're drawn to Montessori education but don't yet have your certification, there's an opportunity right here. The South Island Montessori Training Institute (SIMTI) is located at Selkirk Montessori School and offers MACTE-accredited Elementary teacher training.
SIMTI provides a high-quality educational experience for aspiring Montessori teachers, with academic sessions held on-site and practicum placements at Selkirk and other local Montessori schools. The program has also been granted Applicant Affiliate status by the American Montessori Society (AMS), giving graduates credentials recognized across North America.
