Preschool/Kindergarten
Building foundations through hands-on discovery
Taking advantage of your child's sensitive years between three and six, when they can absorb information from an enriched environment with remarkable ease.

The Absorbent Mind
Children in the Preschool/Kindergarten program possess what Dr. Montessori called the "absorbent mind" — the ability to absorb all aspects of one's culture and environment without effort or fatigue. As an aid to this period of self-construction, individual work is encouraged. Four key areas of activity cultivate the children's adaptation and ability to express and think with clarity.
Areas of Learning
Practical Life
Exercises that instill care for self, others, and the environment through everyday tasks like food preparation and washing dishes. Children develop coordination, concentration, and the ability to complete tasks from beginning to end. Sensorial materials further develop cognitive skills through touching, seeing, smelling, tasting, and exploring.
Language
A rich oral environment with conversations, stories, and poetry. Sandpaper letters help children link sound and symbol effortlessly, developing written expression and reading skills. Grammar study further supports reading comprehension.
Cultural Arts
Geography, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Art, and Music extend sensorial and language activities. Children learn about global cultures with respect and admiration, feel connected to the human family, and develop reverence for all life.
Mathematics
Hands-on activities help children understand math concepts through concrete materials. This builds a solid foundation in mathematical principles, prepares them for abstract reasoning, and develops problem-solving capabilities.
